Why Stem Cells?

Stem Cells have distinct characteristics that differentiate them from regular cells.

Stem cells are undifferentiated cells of a multicellular organism which is capable of giving rise to indefinite more cells of the same type and from which certain other kinds of cell arise by differentiation.

They can be induced into tissue/organ-specific cells which perform specialized functions.
