Stem Cells

What are Stem Cells?

The benefits of stem cells are not a new phenomenon. Stem cells are undifferentiated cells of a multicellular organism which is capable of giving rise to indefinitely more cells of the same type and from which certain other kinds of cell by differentiation. It acts as a special type of internal repair system in human body by acting accordingly without limit for the purposes of replenishing and repairing.

Stem cells are the essential ingredient in cell transformation, renewal and natural healing. Unfortunately, the number of stem cells in our body deteriorates as we age. Stem cells are often referred as “Adult Stem Cells” but the term is (slightly misleading. The reason being “Adult Stem Cells” are found not only in adults but also infants and children. The opposite of Adult Stem Cells are known as Embryonic Stem cells, in which the extraction is less ethical.

What are Mesenchymal Stem Cells (MSCs)?

Mesenchymal Stem Cells (MSCs) are the building blocks of our body. They reside in body’s organs, tissues, blood, and immune system and have the ability to regenerate into additional stem cells or differentiate into specialized cells. When transplanted into a patient’s body, stem cells can repair or replace patient’s damaged or diseased cells, improving and enhancing patient’s health.MSCs has the potential to become any of the 220 types of different cells in your body such as heart, bone, cornea, nerve, cartilage, fat, muscle, etc.
